Full operational responsibility for IT planning, implementation and support nationwide as an integral component of the business plan. Engineered turnaround of IT’s performance and service levels. Transformed IT into a strategic business partner. Managed and delivered large scale projects on time and within budget. Responsible for budgeting design and support of all technology.  

·        Managed geographically dispersed staff of differing cultures including 27 offshore developers and architects based out of Bangalore, 2 network managers from New Jersey, and a variety of rotating consultants. 

 

·         Lead the technology forklift of an acquired company (CHI Research) to the latest technology.  Later managed the office and infrastructure expansion encompassing two additional locations.

 

·         Managed a detailed IT budget of 2.5 mil and cut costs to align with business needs and forecasted growth.  Replaced high priced commercial applications with low cost open source alternatives.  Renegotiated all current vendor contracts to achieve best possible pricing and flexible terms to match the business needs.

 

·         Consolidated all physical servers to VMWare Infrastructure virtual machines with shared storage across EMC Clariion, Dell, and OpenFiler SANs saving over $11,000/mo in current and future hardware leases and reducing the time for new server procurement from three weeks to twenty minutes.

Managed the ITIL Change Management Life Cycle in an IT Infrastructure environment.  Delivered Service Deliverables to the various global business units at a high level of professional services incorporating responsibility, accountability, integrity and quality assurance at all times.

 

·         Architected a data warehouse to address the business need for a centralized change management and problem resolution reporting system across multiple organizations. Created a .NET front end administration system to provide an enterprise-class proactive alerting system to protect the production infrastructure environment from unforeseen risks.

 

·         Rebuilt support scripts, quality assurance procedures, change management processes, and reporting standards resulting in improved efficiency and reduced human error with automated procedures.  As a result of the automation, the time required to complete change management reports was reduced from one full day to two hours allowing more frequent and personalized updates to roll out.

Worked as a liaison and coach between each corresponding department. Modeled the business process to illustrate the current systems and their informational content and propose and managed new process. These efforts allowed the client to reduce redundant efforts, improve communications, and complete the project early and under budget.

 

Ingersoll Rand: Participated as the lead Infrastructure Architect during the completion of architect/scope and migrated the teams’ architect/design efforts. Developed a detailed assessment of the internal technologies and transactions in conjunction with the client’s relevant partners. Designed the unique infrastructure to allow extensive customization within Siebel allowing an open architecture, access to a content management system, and scalability beyond the products initial intent.
